The Flora Flex Pressure Gauge 0/60 PSI is designed to fit inline on the Flora Flex Micro Drip irrigation system. Knowing the pressure in your system is critical to ensure your drippers are working optimally. The Flora Flex Micro Drippers require 15 PSI but the optimum is 25 -35 PSI.
- Aquaking Pump
- 6" Hugo Block
- Time-R Digital Timer (to set your irrigation times)- hands down best digital timer you will get, and at an affordable price!
- Rainbird filter and pressure regulator
What Pressure Do These Need?
FloraFlex micro drippers are pressure compensating. They start regulating at 15 PSI and run best between 25 and 35. Below 15 the diaphragm stops regulating and the pots nearest the pump take the water first, which is the uneven watering people usually blame on a blockage.
This kit is a 8 x 4ft footprint on 32 drippers, so it is past the small-tent case. The Aquaking Q800103 at 3 bar is the pump for it, with the Rain Bird pressure regulator to hold the line at 25 to 35 PSI. The pump pushes about 43 and the emitters should not sit above 40.
The smaller Q4003 is only worth considering on a tent up to 1.5m x 1.5m with the reservoir alongside, and even then it needs the whip kit without the DNL and a Manual Flush Kit rather than the automatic valve. A DNL needs 0.8 bar to open and that pump makes 0.78, so with one fitted no water reaches the ring at all.
Whatever pump you run, use a filter. Clogged emitters are the most common cause of uneven watering, and a 130 micron mesh filter on the feed prevents most of it. Both whip kits have one built in. House and Garden Drip Clean in your nutrients keeps the emitters clear from the inside.
The full working is in what pump for FloraFlex drippers.
Different size or plant count? This kit is built for 8 plants in a 8 x 4ft space. Our free FloraFlex drip system builder opens already set up like this kit, so you can change the room size or the plant count and every fitting updates with it - pump, pipe, elbows, tees, drippers, media and runoff - then the whole list goes in your basket in one click.
