Grow tents between 100cm and 200cm wide are the sizes most home growers end up with, and the
120 x 120cm in particular is the single most common tent in UK grow rooms. Wide enough to run a proper light,
small enough to heat, cool and pay for.

Why 120 x 120 is the default
It matches a 600W HPS or a 450-660W LED almost exactly, so nothing is wasted at the edges. It fits through a
standard doorway in its box, sits comfortably in a spare bedroom, and a 5 or 6in fan and filter is enough to keep
it under control. Nearly every brand builds one, so you have real choice on price and quality.
Height matters as much as width
Most tents in this range come in 200cm and 220cm versions. The taller option is worth it if you are running HPS,
which needs more hanging distance, or if you veg for longer than a few weeks. Once you subtract pot height and the
gap under the light, a 200cm tent leaves less usable canopy height than people expect.
