HPS or LED?
HPS costs less up front and its flowering spectrum is proven over a very long time. Against that: it runs hot, so you need more extraction and you will feel it in summer; lamps degrade and want replacing roughly annually; and running cost per gram is higher. Extraction matters more with HPS
A 600W lamp is 600W of heat inside a sealed box. Size the fan generously, run a decent carbon filter, and consider a fan controller so you are not running flat out at night. Browse extraction fans for the range.
