Shogun Fertilisers is a British nutrient company built around a simple idea: give the plant exactly what it needs at each stage and nothing it does not. The range is split into Samurai base feeds, matched to your medium, and a tight set of additives that each do one job properly. It is one of the most popular UK nutrient lines for a reason - the feed charts are straightforward and the results are consistent.
Samurai base nutrients: Two-part A&B feeds in Coco, Terra (soil) and Hydro versions, so the base is matched to what you are actually growing in.
Root and early growth: Katana Roots and Shogun Start get cuttings and young plants established fast - pair them with your propagation media.
Bloom boosters: Sumo Boost and Sumo ACTIVE Boost drive flower bulk, while PK Warrior 9-18 delivers the late phosphorus and potassium hit. See the wider PK boosters range.
Additives: Dragon Force for foliar-fed micronutrition, Zenzym for root-zone cleanliness, Shogun Silicon for stronger cell walls and Shogun Calmag for soft UK water.
Foliar: Geisha Foliar Spray for direct leaf feeding through veg and early flower.
Ready-made kits: Shogun Coco and Soil starter packs and full nutrient kits sized for 4-8 plants - see all nutrient starter kits.
Why choose Shogun?
Shogun is formulated for real growing conditions rather than lab ideals. The base feeds are pH-stable, the additives do not clash with each other, and the published feed charts are conservative enough that you are unlikely to burn a crop following them. For growers who want a complete, no-guesswork British nutrient programme, it is one of the easiest lines to run.
Shogun FAQs
Which Shogun base feed do I need? Match it to your medium - Samurai Coco A&B for coco, Samurai Terra for soil, Samurai Hydro for recirculating and run-to-waste hydro systems.
Do I need Shogun Calmag? If you are on soft water or growing in coco, yes. Coco holds on to calcium and magnesium, and most UK tap water is low in both.
What is the difference between Sumo Boost and PK Warrior? Sumo Boost is a broader bloom stimulant used through flowering. PK Warrior 9-18 is a concentrated late-flower phosphorus and potassium additive used for a short window near the end.
Can I mix Shogun with other brands? You can, but the range is designed to work as a system. If you are new to it, run the full Shogun chart first and add other products once you know your baseline.
