Why choose Plagron?
Green Sensation is the reason most growers end up here. It is four late-flower jobs in one bottle, a PK, a sugar, an enzyme and a stimulant, so it is one bottle to buy instead of four and one dose to get right instead of four. Why are Plagron doses printed per 10 litres?
It is just how their charts are laid out. Divide by ten for millilitres per litre, or use our calculator, which has already done the conversion for you.
Hand feeding or system feeding?
Plagron publish two different additive blocks for 100% Coco. Hand feeding uses Power Roots, Pure Zym and Sugar Royal. System feeding swaps to Hydro Roots and drops the other two, and its EC runs higher from week one. The base feed is identical either way, so picking the wrong one costs you bottles rather than the crop.
Lightmix or Growmix?
That is decided by the bag you bought rather than by how you grow. Lightmix is barely fertilised, so you feed from week one. Growmix is pre-fertilised and carries the plant for the first couple of weeks on its own, so the chart holds the base back until week four.
Do I need Cal-Mag with Plagron?
In coco, yes. Coco holds back calcium and magnesium and most UK tap water is short of both. Plagron make their own Calmag Pro for it.
What is the difference between Green Sensation and PK 13-14?
PK 13-14 is a straight phosphorus and potassium additive for a short window in late flower. Green Sensation does the PK job and three others alongside it, over a longer stretch. Running both is usually doubling up.
