Oxypot is deep water culture in its most straightforward form - roots suspended in an oxygenated nutrient reservoir, with nothing between the plant and its feed. Growth rates are the fastest of any method, and because there is no medium there is nothing to buy again or dispose of.
- Single pot: The Oxypot Single Kit at 19L, the usual starting point - see all DWC systems.
- Multi-plant systems: The v6 complete kit at 70L, the v4 and v9 at 100L, and the XL 70L two-plant kit.
- Spares: Replacement lids and spare baskets, so a cracked lid does not mean a new system.
- Running it: DWC lives or dies on dissolved oxygen - pair with a proper air pump and air stones and a water chiller if your room runs warm.
Why choose Oxypot?
Speed. Roots sitting directly in oxygenated solution grow faster than in any medium, and the whole root zone is visible so problems show up immediately rather than three weeks later. For a single large plant, a 19L Oxypot is the cheapest route to a serious result.
Oxypot FAQs
How warm can the reservoir get?
Keep it below about 20C. Warm water holds less oxygen and encourages root disease - a chiller is the usual fix in a hot room.
How often do I change the solution?
Typically weekly, topping up with plain water between changes as the plant drinks.
