Dry trimming only
These are built for material that has already hung and gone brittle, not fresh wet material. Wet material bruises and gums up the mechanism rather than trimming cleanly. Hang first, then trim – see trimming, drying and curing and drying nets.
Where they fit
Below a Toms Tumbler or Twister on capacity, above a bowl trimmer on finish and control. If you are trimming more than an evening's worth by hand but not running commercial volume, this is the size that makes sense.
