AlorAir build commercial-grade dehumidifiers – the sort used in restoration and crawl spaces rather than domestic units repurposed for a tent. That matters in a grow room, because a plant canopy in late flower puts out litres of water a day and a domestic dehumidifier will simply run continuously and never catch up.
The range
- Sentinel HD55 – the workhorse, with a G3 replacement filter available.
- Sentinel HDi90 – higher capacity for larger rooms.
- Storm Pro WIFI at 85L/day – app-monitored, for commercial spaces.
- Storm LGR Extreme WIFI at 85L/day – low grain refrigerant, which keeps pulling moisture at lower temperatures where a standard unit stalls.
Why LGR matters
A standard refrigerant dehumidifier loses efficiency as the room gets cooler and drier – exactly the conditions you want in late flower and during drying. LGR units keep working down into that range. If you are trying to hold 45% in late flower or run a controlled dry, that is the difference between a unit that copes and one that does not.
Sizing it
Work from the water you put in, not the room size – almost all of it comes back out through the leaves. A room feeding 50 litres a day needs to remove close to 50 litres a day. Undersizing is the usual mistake. Pair with a humidity controller so it runs on the reading rather than constantly.
