Short version? The Maxibright MaxiLED PRO TS 40W is a horseshoe shaped under canopy LED that sits round the base of one plant, from £79.95. If a full length bar won't fit between your pots, this is the one. And yes, we know what it looks like. It is not a dripper. It's a light.

Maxibright MaxiLED PRO TS 40W FAQs
Is the Maxibright MaxiLED PRO TS 40W any good?
For lighting the lower leaves of individual plants, yes. You get 108 µmol/s PPF at 2.7 µmol/J from 40W, it's IP65 and silent, and the ground stake keeps it put in the pot. It's not a canopy light. It sits low and does the bottom of the plant.
MaxiLED PRO TS or the Maxibright 120W under canopy bar?
The horseshoe wraps round one plant, so it suits tents and smaller spaces where a bar won't fit between pots. The Maxibright MaxiLED Under Canopy 120W x 2 is £319 and covers a wider area in a straight run.
Is the MaxiLED PRO TS a dripper?
No, though we've read the comments on our socials. With that horseshoe shape and the cable, it does look a bit like a Netbow dripper. It's a light, not an integrated light and dripper, so nothing gets watered through it. Cool concept though. If anyone makes one, we'll stock it.
What comes with the MaxiLED PRO TS?
Each light has an integrated driver and a ground stake. Every pack comes with one 2.5m plug-and-play power lead, UK or EU, and that one lead runs up to 25 lights. No transformer to buy.
How far apart are the lights?
Linked straight together out of the box, roughly 70cm. Need more room between plants? Add a 1m lamp to lamp extension lead for £12. They daisy-chain, so you can keep adding.
Can I buy an extra light or a spare cable later?
Yes. An extra light without a cable is £69.95, and a spare UK power cable or EU power cable is £12.
What it does well
It goes where the big lights can't. The horseshoe sits around the base of a plant, so the lower leaves get light from low down instead of whatever trickles through the canopy.
Setup is simple. Push the stake into the pot, link the lights, plug in one lead.
- 108 µmol/s PPF from 40W
- Silent and low heat, no fans
- One lead runs up to 25 lights
- Spare lights and leads sold separately, so nothing's a dead end
Where it falls short
Good fit if you...
- run a tent or a small space
- want light low on individual plants
- grow in pots a stake can go into
Look elsewhere if you...
- want one long bar over a wide area
- want a main canopy light
Which version to buy
Packs work out cheaper per light than singles. We've checked against buying the same number of singles at today's prices. Every pack has one power lead. UK plug shown, EU plug versions are on the product page. The 9, 15, 18, 21 and 24 packs sit between these.
| Option | Price | Saving vs singles |
|---|---|---|
| 1 horseshoe, UK plug | £79.95 | n/a |
| Pack of 3 | £214.00 | £25.85 |
| Pack of 6 | £411.95 | £67.75 |
| Pack of 12 | £822.95 | £136.45 |
| Pack of 25 | £1,639.95 | £358.80 |
Prices as at October 2026.
How to use it
- Push the ground stake into the pot and sit the horseshoe round the base of the plant.
- Link the lights together. About 70cm between them out of the box, or add a 1m extension lead for more.
- Plug the one power lead in.
Looking after it
Not much to do. It's silent with no moving parts, so keep it wiped and the cable tidy. Spares are on the spare parts page.
