On hard water? Check your TDS first
GrowMax rate their RO systems for up to 1000 TDS at 60 PSI. Above that you need the High Flow Booster Pump Kit to push pressure past 60 PSI, which takes the unit to a maximum of 1500 TDS. The Mega Grow 1000 takes the High Flow kit, not the standard one. The higher your incoming TDS, the lower the output, whatever the pressure. Most UK tap water sits well inside 1000, but boreholes and the harder areas do not.
IMPORTANT: A minimum of 2.75bar 40 psi is required to operate the system properly. To increase water pressure, a booster pump kit is available separately. Do not install the system where the incoming water pressure higher than 5.5bar / 80psi. Pressure can be reduced by installing a pressure regulator. Only use with cold water supply, hot water will damage the filters and membrane. Protect unit against frost.
