Why Choose The AC Kit
- The cheapest way into a complete system. The Air AC fan is the entry-level option in the Global Air range — if the priority is getting a filtered, ducted room running for the least money, this is the kit.
- High pressure, high throughput. The mixed-flow design pushes serious air against resistance, which matters once you have a carbon filter and a few metres of ducting in the way.
- Sealed, serviceable housing. Robust body with integrated mounting brackets, and it cleans out easily.
- Plug and play. Standard IEC connector, and the lead is in the box.
- 12-month warranty as standard.
Unlike the EC version, an AC fan has no speed control built in and does not ship with a dimmer. Out of the box it runs at full output. To turn it down you need a Triac or voltage controller, such as the SMS Twin Fan Controller, the G.A.S AC Pro Step Controller, or the G.A.S AC-EC Speed Controller. Add one to your order if you want to run the room below 100%.

Short version: if you want the lowest price today and you are happy running flat out, or you already own an AC controller, take this kit. If the room runs long hours and you want quiet, dialled-in control, the Air EC kit pays the difference back on the electricity bill. Note the 12" is only available as AC.
Which Size Do I Need?
Work out your grow space volume in m³ (Width x Length x Height), then multiply by 60 to get the air movement needed per hour to refresh the room every minute. Add headroom if you are running in a warm loft or through summer. It is generally better to over-spec the fan and dial the output back on a controller than to run a smaller fan flat out around the clock.
Common Questions
Does this kit include a speed controller?
No. AC fans have no speed control built in, so out of the box the fan runs at full output. You will need a separate Triac or voltage controller such as the SMS Twin Fan Controller or the G.A.S AC Pro Step Controller. If you would rather have speed control included, the Air EC kit ships with a dimmer in the box.
Is the kettle lead included?
Yes. Buying the Air AC fan on its own, the IEC lead is a separate purchase — but every kit on this page includes a 2.5m lead.
How long does the carbon filter last?
A CarboAir 50 typically gives 12–18 months of use depending on humidity, run hours and how heavily it is loaded. Fitting a pre-filter sleeve and keeping humidity under control both extend its life. Replacement sleeves are available in every size.
Is 5m of ducting enough?
For most tent and single-room setups, yes — 5m covers filter to fan and fan to outlet with room to spare. If you are venting through a loft or across a larger room, 10m combi ducting is available separately.
What is the difference between the Air AC and the old RadAir?
Nothing but the name. Global Air Supplies rebranded the RadAir range as Air AC — same fan, same specification.
Do the jubilee clips fit every size?
Yes. The kit ships with universal jubilee clips that adjust from 1" to 12.4", so the same clip works on a 4" kit or a 12" kit.
