Description
Optimise your system by raising the inlet water pressure and cutting the amount of wastewater. Recommended where inlet pressure is below 40 PSI (3 kg/cm²). Boosts to 60+ PSI (4 kg/cm²). Once fitted, the rate of water production goes up.
Which units does this fit?
Yes: the Mega Grow 1000. That is GrowMax's own compatibility statement, not ours.
No: the Power Grow 500 and Maxquarium 000 PPM take the standard kit instead.
No: the Pro RO 3000. It needs 4 bar minimum and far more feed flow than this kit moves at 0.6 GPM. Neither GrowMax kit will run one.
Two reasons to fit one
1. Low mains pressure. Under 40 PSI the Mega Grow will trickle, waste more water and wear its membrane faster. This brings it up to where it should be.
2. Hard water. GrowMax rate their RO systems for up to 1000 TDS at 60 PSI. Push past 60 PSI with this kit and they handle a maximum of 1500 TDS. Over 1000 TDS on your supply, this is not an upgrade, it is what makes the unit work properly.

If your mains is low and you have not bought a unit yet, the Max Pump 700 has a pressure pump built in, so it needs no kit at all.
