Description

The Pollinator P500 and P500 Bottomless Tumbler are high-capacity dry sifting machines built for users processing larger volumes with speed, consistency, and control.

Designed to handle up to 500g of dried plant material per run, both versions use smooth drum rotation and a precision 150-micron screen to separate fine material efficiently without over-processing. Built from food-grade materials, the P500 range is ideal for extended sessions and repeatable results.

As with the smaller models, the key difference comes down to workflow. The standard P500 follows a traditional batch-style approach, while the P500 Bottomless is designed for uninterrupted, continuous collection.

P500 vs P500 Bottomless – What’s the Difference?

  • Pollinator P500: Classic dry sifting tumbler with a closed base. Best suited for batch processing where material is collected between runs.
  • Pollinator P500 Bottomless: Open-base design allows sift to fall directly into removable trays below, enabling continuous operation without removing the drum.

If you prefer a straightforward, controlled workflow, the standard P500 delivers excellent results. If speed, grading efficiency, and uninterrupted sessions matter, the Bottomless version is the clear upgrade.

Bottomless Design Advantage

The bottomless design allows sift to drop directly into two removable, food-grade collection trays. This makes it easy to separate grades as you work and continue processing without stopping.

With optional stackable tray upgrades and alternative micron drums available, the P500 Bottomless offers excellent flexibility for users who want tighter quality control across longer sessions.

Size & Real-World Scale

The P500 tumbler measures 70 × 40 × 50 cm. To put that into everyday terms:

  • Roughly the size of a large countertop microwave
  • About the height of 4 stacked shoeboxes
  • Comparable drum volume to 25–30 decks of playing cards stacked

Large enough for serious throughput, yet still manageable on a bench or dedicated work surface.

Key Features

  • Processes up to 500g of dried material per cycle
  • Standard 150-micron precision screen
  • Bottomless option for continuous dry sifting
  • Includes 2 food-grade collection trays
  • Durable, hygienic food-safe construction
  • Smooth, efficient operation with minimal handling
  • Suitable for use in cool rooms or freezers

Typical Applications

  • Dry sift production
  • Herbal and aromatic material refinement
  • Botanical sample processing
  • Food-safe pollen and particulate collection

Instructions

  1. Place dried material in an airtight bag and freeze for approximately two hours before use.
  2. Open the lid and carefully lift the drum from the motor side.
  3. Load material into the drum, avoiding hard stems or dense debris.
  4. Run the machine for 2–5 minutes depending on desired quality.
  5. Collect material from trays and clean components after use.

Notes for Best Results

  • Operate in a cold, dry environment for cleaner separation
  • Collect sift regularly to maintain purity
  • Avoid moisture and condensation inside the drum
  • Hand-wash trays and screen with mild soap and warm water
  • Store all components in a dry area between uses

Optional: Additional micron drums and stackable tray upgrades are available for advanced grading and expanded workflow control.
