Which units does this fit?
Yes: Power Grow 500 and Maxquarium 000 PPM. That is GrowMax's own compatibility statement, not ours.
No: the Mega Grow 1000 takes the High Flow kit instead.
No: the Pro RO 3000. It needs 4 bar minimum and far more feed flow than this kit moves. Neither GrowMax kit will run one.
Two reasons to fit one
1. Low mains pressure. Under 40 PSI an RO unit will trickle, waste more water and wear the membrane faster. This brings it up to where it should be.
2. Hard water. GrowMax rate their RO systems for up to 1000 TDS at 60 PSI. Push past 60 PSI with this kit and they handle a maximum of 1500 TDS. If your supply is over 1000 TDS, this is not an upgrade, it is what makes the unit work properly.
If your mains is low and you have not bought a unit yet, the Max Pump 700 has a pressure pump built in, so it needs no kit at all.
