AquaKing make submersible water pumps and the fittings that go with them – the pump end of a hydroponic system, plus ready-made watering kits for growers who would rather buy it assembled.
The range
- High-pressure submersible pump – the core product. Enough head pressure to run drippers rather than just circulate a tank.
- Pump to FloraFlex coupling and 16mm couplings – connect straight into a FloraFlex system or standard 16mm line without adaptor stacking.
- Manual Watering Kit – pump, hose and wand as a set.
- Manual Watering Kit, no pump – the same kit if you already have a pump.
Why pressure matters
Most cheap submersible pumps quote a big flow figure at zero height. What decides whether your system works is flow at the height the water actually has to reach – and that falls away sharply. A pump rated 2,000 L/h at 0m might manage 800 L/h at 1.5m. If you are feeding drippers, you need pressure, not just flow. See water pumps for the full range and the sizing guide.
Keeping it alive
Never run it dry – that is the commonest way to kill a submersible. Clean the inlet strainer monthly; a clogged filter looks exactly like a failing pump. And watch tank temperature, because a pump running continuously puts its waste heat straight into your nutrient. See water chillers.
