One Simple Foliar Program

No complicated setup. No guesswork. Just mix, spray, and keep it moving.

Please note — decanted sizes: Athena don't sell IPW or Stack in 16oz / 4oz retail bottles, so this kit is hand-decanted in-store from Athena's larger original bottles into these smaller, ready-to-use sizes. You're getting genuine Athena IPW and Athena Stack — just measured out into the exact quantities this program needs, with none left over sitting unused in your cupboard.

Athena® IPW (you may also see this listed elsewhere as Athena® IPM — it's the same product) has also proven effective against various pests and pathogens including spider mites, powdery mildew and fungus gnats. Combining both products allows you to fertilise your plants while at the same time establishing a line of defence against pests and fungal pathogens.

Athena® Stack, being derived from kelp extract (Ascophyllum nodosum), provides bioavailable nutrients which create favourable conditions for lateral growth, bud development, and improved vigour during transition.

Mixing both Athena® IPW and Athena® Stack together in the same solution is compatible for a foliar application and will result in less wasted product as well as saving on labour costs.

3 Modes of Action — Athena IPW

1 Smother
Natural plant oils cover and smother eggs, juveniles and adults by blocking breathing holes.
2 Desiccate
Dissolves and dries out (desiccates) insect and fungal outer protective membranes.
3 Prevent
Volatile organic compounds (VOCs) in the natural oils deter pests from the plant surface.

Spray Procedure — General IPW Maintenance & Prevention

This is the general, preventative maintenance program — for ongoing feed-and-defend foliar spraying. Active spider mite and fungus gnat infestations follow their own separate, more intensive SOPs and are not covered by the steps below.

9-STEP FOLIAR SPRAY PROCEDURE
1. Fill Fill a container with RO water for the amount of plants you are going to spray.
2. IPW Add Athena® IPW at 90 mL/Gal and agitate until thoroughly mixed.
3. Stack Add 7 mL/Gal of Athena® Stack and agitate until mixed. Contains an organic ingredient that can separate in storage, so shake well before each use.
4. Saturate Fully saturate the substrate with your current fertiliser water first. If the plant is fully hydrated it won't absorb IPW through its leaves; if dehydrated, it will. Skipping this step can cause burning or phytotoxic reactions.
5. Temp Lower temperature to around 72°F and use dehumidifiers to maintain humidity around 55–65% to prevent mould and mildew issues.
6. Lights Only spray when high intensity lights are turned off, to prevent burning. Work lights or green lights only — no grow lights.
7. Spray Start by spraying the substrate, then follow up the stalk, making sure to drench the undersides of the leaves.
8. Spray Follow with a spray over the top to ensure full saturation of all plant foliage.
9. Dry Allow enough time to dry (3–4 hours) before high intensity lights are turned back on.
