What size tent suits the Solar-Tech 720W Lite?
At 1100 x 1065mm it is a natural fit for a 1.2m x 1.2m tent. For a smaller 1m x 1m tent, the Solar-Tech 660W Lite at 950 x 950mm is the closer match.
How does the dimmer work on the 720W Lite?
It has an integrated manual dimmer with stepless 0 to 100% control. You sweep it to any level you like, so there are no fixed, clunky steps at 25, 50, 75 and 100%. The 660W Lite dims the same way.
Does the 720W Lite need a separate driver or ballast?
No. It has two integrated drivers built into the frame, so there is nothing extra to buy or find room for. It comes with a UK plug, so you can unfold it, hang it and plug it in.
Can I control the 720W Lite with a lighting controller?
Yes. It supports 0-10V control and has RJ connectivity for daisy-chaining. The Solar-Tech LED Lighting Controller (sold separately) adds centralised dimming, scheduling and sunrise and sunset simulation.
Is the Solar-Tech 720W Lite water resistant?
It carries an IP65 protection rating and the diodes are protected with a silicone conformal coating. It is still electrical equipment, so keep the plug and cabling away from standing water and follow normal grow room electrical safety.
What is the difference between the 720W Lite and the 660W Lite?
The 720W Lite is the bigger fixture: 720W and 1872 PPF in a 1100 x 1065mm frame, against 660W and 1650 PPF in 950 x 950mm for the 660W Lite. Both are full spectrum with enhanced red, both have stepless 0 to 100% dimming, and both are IP65.

It is a 720W full-spectrum LED grow light with an enhanced red spectrum for stronger flowering, built on a lightweight, foldable 6-bar frame with two integrated drivers. There is no separate ballast to find room for. Unfold it, hang it, plug it in.

Why the stepless dimmer matters
Plenty of lights give you a dial that clicks between 25, 50, 75 and 100%. That is fine until you want 60% for a young plant or 85% to ease off in a warm room. The 720W Lite sweeps smoothly across the whole range, so you can fine-tune intensity to the plant, the stage and the temperature in your tent. It is the same stepless dimming you get on the Solar-Tech 660W Lite.
