Frequently Asked Questions
What is the Indizono inline ozone generator?
It is a ceramic plate ozone generator that fits into a duct run to treat smelly extracted air before it is vented outside. Electrical discharge across the ceramic electrode plates turns some of the oxygen in the airflow into ozone, which reacts with certain odour compounds. It is a specialist industrial odour control part, not a domestic air purifier.
Can I use the Indizono ozone generator inside a grow room or tent?
No. The unit must never release ozone into an occupied room, grow room, greenhouse or any other enclosed space, because ozone is hazardous to human and animal health. It has to go in a sealed exhaust system that discharges outdoors, with a risk assessment done and a competent person doing the install.
Which size Indizono ozone generator do I need?
Match it to your duct diameter. We list the 8 inch (200mm) at 7,000mg/h, the 10 inch (250mm) at 10,500mg/h and the 12 inch (315mm) at 10,500mg/h. The manufacturer's airflow and power figures are not published on the listings we checked, so if you are unsure how it suits your fan and filter setup, ask us before you order.
Does an inline ozone generator replace a carbon filter?
No. Ozone does not reliably remove every odour, and its reactions can create by-products. The Indizono is meant to be one part of a properly designed system, alongside extraction, source control and carbon filtration, not a replacement for any of them.
Does the Indizono ozone generator come with a fan, ducting or carbon filter?
No. You get the generator in the duct size you pick, and that is it. Ducting, an extraction fan, carbon filters and installation accessories are all separate, and we stock inline fans, carbon filters and ducting if you need them.
Can I buy replacement ceramic plates for the Indizono ozone generator?
Replacement ceramic plates exist, rated at 3,500mg/h nominal each, but you need to check which plates suit your size of generator and we do not list them as a separate product yet. Get in touch and we will check what is available for your unit.
Description
The Indizono Inline Ozone Generator is a ceramic plate ozone unit that sits in your exhaust duct and treats smelly extracted air before it leaves the building. It is for people who already run a proper extraction system and want a specialist extra odour stage, with a sealed exhaust that vents outdoors. It is not a domestic air purifier, and it does not go inside a grow room, tent or any space where people or animals are.
Read this first: ozone is hazardous
Ozone is hazardous to human and animal health. Never let this unit release ozone into an occupied room, grow room, greenhouse or any other enclosed space. It needs a risk assessment, a competent person to install it and a sealed exhaust that discharges outdoors, and it must never run without the required airflow. Do not open or service the electrical parts while they are live. If that sounds like a lot of faff, this is probably not the right product for you.

In the box
One Indizono Inline Ozone Generator in the duct size you pick. That is all we have been told comes in the box, so check what turns up and keep any small fittings, connectors or other bits that arrive with it rather than binning them with the packaging. Ducting, extraction fans, carbon filters and installation accessories are not included. If you need to know exactly what comes with it before you order, get in touch and we will find out.
What the Indizono Inline Ozone Generator Needs Around It
This is one stage in a ventilation system, not a stand-alone fix. Ozone does not reliably remove every odour, its reactions can create by-products, and it is not a replacement for extraction, source control or carbon filtration. Where it sits in the run is a job for whoever designs your system, so get that sorted before you buy.
- An inline fan to move the air: the AC Infinity Cloudline Pro S-Series Inline Duct Fan or the Phresh Hyper Fan V2 EC Extraction Fan.
- A carbon filter, because the ozone stage is an addition to it, not a swap: the CarboAir 60 Carbon Filter, the CarboAir 100 Carbon Filter or the CAN Inline Filter.
- Ducting: our Aluminium Ducting is the usual choice for extraction, but ozone attacks some plastics, rubber and metals over time, so ask the manufacturer or your installer what the ducting and seals after the generator should be rated for.

Who the Indizono Inline Ozone Generator Is For
It suits engineered ventilation and exhaust systems where the air is ducted and discharged outdoors, and where someone competent has done the risk assessment. It is not for a spare room, a tent, a greenhouse or anywhere the air stays in a space people or animals use. If you just want to cut the smell from a normal grow tent, a decent carbon filter and a properly sized fan will do that job without any of the ozone worries.
