Description
Supercharge your AutoPots by getting more air to the roots with the Air Dome. Because of the increased oxygen around the roots, it can increase growth by up to 50%.
Bigger, better plants in less time. Simply place an Air Dome in the bottom of the pot, fill with your usual growing medium, and connect the airline to an air pump.
How the Air Dome Works
The Air Dome is a dome-shaped piece of plastic mesh that houses a cross-section of porous tubing. It sits at the bottom of the container, buried underneath the substrate. When connected to an air pump (sold separately), the mesh protects the flow of air moving through the porous tubing towards the root zone.
Oxygen is essential for healthy roots. Because AutoPots are fed from underneath, supplying air to the container helps ensure the substrate doesn't become too soggy, which can lead to root diseases like Pythium. A plentiful oxygen supply creates a root-friendly environment with ongoing benefits from the earliest stages through to harvest.
How to Use the Air Dome
Install the Air Dome before transferring substrate into the AutoPot container. Connect 4 x 2 inch pieces of porous tubing to the outlets of the included cross connector, then connect the end of each to the four points around the inner circumference of the Air Dome. On the outer circumference, fit 4mm airline tubing (sold separately) to the inlet point, with the other end attached to your air pump.
Place your copper root control disc (supplied with the AutoPot) in the bottom of the container with the copper side facing up, then place the Air Dome on top. Make sure connections are secure before adding substrate to cover the dome.
If supplying multiple AutoPots from the same air pump, keep the airline tubing between the pump and each container at equal lengths, to maintain even pressure and oxygenate each container equally.
