Description
The Adjust-A-Wing Defender is the middle of the range and, for most tents, the sweet spot. Same double-parabolic wings as the rest of the family, finished in a titanium white, heat resistant powder coat rated at 92% reflectivity.
A finish that lasts
The powder coat is baked on. It copes with the heat a 400W to 1000W lamp throws out night after night and holds its reflectivity grow after grow. That is the real difference between this and a cheap painted shade.
- Up to 75% more growing area under each lamp than a fixed shade
- Even spread across the canopy, no single hot patch under the bulb
- Adjustable lamp holder height to fine-tune the footprint
- Takes a Super Spreader if you want to run the lamp lower

Enforcer, Defender or Avenger?
Same double-parabolic wing shape across all three. What you pay for is the finish, and the finish decides how much light comes back down onto the plants.
| Model | Range | Finish | Sizes |
|---|---|---|---|
| Enforcer | Entry level | Reflective wing finish | Small, Medium, Large |
| Defender | Mid range | Titanium white powder coat, 92% reflective | Small, Medium, Large |
| Avenger | Top of the range | Glass and titanium dioxide vapour coat, 95-97% reflective | Medium, Large |
FAQs
Is the Super Spreader included?
No. The Defender comes as the reflector plus IEC lamp holder. The Super Spreader is a separate buy.
Does it come with a bulb?
No bulb. The lamp holder takes a standard E40 single-ended HPS, MH or CMH lamp.
Will it plug into my ballast?
The lamp holder uses an IEC connection, so it runs off any ballast with an IEC lamp lead. See our grow light ballasts if you need one.
Which size do I need?
Go by lamp wattage first. Small for 400W, Medium for 400W to 600W, Large for 600W up to 1000W. Between two sizes, go bigger. A wider reflector spreads the light further and keeps the hot spot down.
