The TrolMaster WN9 Substrate Sensor Node is the dedicated sensing probe designed for use with the TrolMaster WCS-9 Substrate Sensor System. Engineered for professional cultivation environments, the WN-9 delivers highly accurate measurements of Volumetric Water Content (VWC), Electrical Conductivity (EC) and root zone temperature, helping growers make better irrigation decisions and implement advanced crop steering strategies.

Whether you're growing in Rockwool, coco, soil or other high-EC substrates, the WN-9 continuously monitors root zone conditions and feeds real-time data back to the WCS-9 Display for analysis, averaging and Feed On Demand irrigation control.

This product is an expansion Sensor Node designed exclusively for use with the TrolMaster WCS-9 Substrate Sensor System.

To operate, this Sensor Node must be connected to a WCS-9 Display.

What Does The WN-9 Sensor Node Do?

The WN-9 is the measurement probe used within the WCS-9 ecosystem. Installed directly into the growing media, it continuously captures root zone data and transmits readings back to the WCS-9 Display.

Each Sensor Node measures:

  • Volumetric Water Content (VWC)
  • Substrate EC
  • Root Zone Temperature

By collecting accurate root zone information, growers can make more informed irrigation decisions, monitor dry-backs and optimise plant performance throughout the entire crop cycle.
