Description

The IWS Drip and Drain Complete System is a drip-feed kit with automatic drainage built in. It is for growers running 4 to 48 plants in coco or soil who are fed up of hand-watering and tipping runoff out of trays. You feed on a schedule, the pump clears the waste water afterwards, and that's the daily slog gone.

Just need drainage? If you already have a feed system sorted, look at IWS AutoDrain, Drainage Only instead. Same stands and control unit, no dripper hardware, and it costs less.

Why bother with auto-drain?

Roots sitting in runoff get less oxygen. They weaken, and disease has an easier time of it. With the IWS Drip and Drain Complete System the drippers give short, measured feeds, then the float-switch pump moves the waste water out to your tank, a sink or a drain. No sponging trays, no syringes, no wet vac.

Choose Your IWS Drip and Drain Setup

Option Choices
Stand Size Small (37.5 x 37.5 x 11cm, pots up to 15 to 20L) or Large (52 x 52 x 12cm, pots up to 45L)
Fitting Standard 16mm (1000L/hr pump) or Pro 25mm (3000L/hr pump)
Plant Count 4 to 48 plants, in steps of 4

Standard or Pro? Standard 16mm suits smaller rooms, up to around 24 plants. Go Pro 25mm above that, or if the runoff has to be pumped a fair distance. The pump is three times stronger and the drain cycles are quicker.

What's in the Box

  2. Stands in your chosen size

Quantities are sized to the plant count you pick. Small bits like the filter, drippers and spare fittings are easy to lose, so check inside the control unit and the FlexiTank before you bin the packaging.

Pots and a timer aren't included

You'll need fabric pots or Air-Pot containers to match your stand size, and an irrigation timer for the feed side.

IWS Drip and Drain Complete System FAQ

What is the IWS Drip and Drain Complete System?

It's a drip irrigation kit and an automatic drain in one box. The drippers feed each pot on a schedule, then the control unit's pump removes the runoff so it never sits around the roots.

Should I choose Standard 16mm or Pro 25mm?

Standard 16mm is fine up to around 24 plants. Choose Pro 25mm for anything bigger, or for a long pipe run to the drain, because its 3000L/hr pump is three times stronger than the 1000L/hr Standard pump.

Which stand size do I need, small or large?

Match it to your pots. The small stands (37.5 x 37.5 x 11cm) take pots up to 15 to 20L, and the large stands (52 x 52 x 12cm) take pots up to 45L.

Does it come with pots or a timer?

No, neither is included. You'll need your own fabric pots and an irrigation timer for the feed side.

What drippers does it use?

Two black 4 L/h pressure-compensated drippers per pot, which suits soil and coco. They run off IWS pipe to 4-way manifolds and 1m dripper lines.

Where does the waste water go, and can I test it?

Wherever you point the outlet: back into your tank, down a sink or into a drain. It's collected at the control unit and pumped away, and you can take a sample there to check runoff EC and pH.
