Flowering plants require higher amounts of phosphorous (P) and potassium (K) to increase flower bulk and support high-metabolic activities. Athena Pro Bloom contributes balanced levels macro and micro-elements including sulfur (S) used for increasing potency and flavors.

Athena Expiry Date, Best Before & Lot Codes
Every Athena product is stamped with a lot number that tells you when it was made, so you can work out the Athena best before date yourself.
How to read an Athena lot code
The lot number is printed in this format:
##-YYMMDD + LocationCode
The six digits after the dash are the manufacturing date, read as year, month, day.
Worked example: lot code 12-240122WN breaks down as 24 = 2024, 01 = January, 22 = the 22nd, so that batch was manufactured on 22nd January 2024.
Athena shelf life: 5 years or 2 years
Five years from the manufacturing date applies to: Grow A, Grow B, Bloom A, Bloom B, PK, CaMg, Balance, Fade, Pro Grow, Pro Bloom, Pro Core and Pro Balance.
Two years from the manufacturing date applies to every other product in the Athena range.
Athena Pro Bloom is on the five year list, so a bag manufactured on 22nd January 2024 would be best before 22nd January 2029.
Do Athena nutrients expire? How long does Athena last?
Yes, Athena products carry a best before date worked out from the manufacturing date stamped in the lot number. Grow A and B, Bloom A and B, PK, CaMg, Balance, Fade, Pro Grow, Pro Bloom, Pro Core and Pro Balance are best before five years from manufacture. All other Athena products are best before two years from manufacture.
Where do I find the Athena batch number or lot code?
The lot number is stamped directly on the product packaging, in the format ##-YYMMDD followed by a location code. The six digits in the middle are the manufacturing date in year, month, day order.
How do I work out the Athena expiration date from the lot number?
Read the six digits after the dash as YY-MM-DD to get the manufacturing date, then add the shelf life for that product. For example, lot code 12-240122WN gives a manufacturing date of 22nd January 2024. On a five year product such as Pro Bloom that means best before 22nd January 2029; on a two year product it would be 22nd January 2026.
How should I store Athena Pro Line to get the full shelf life?
Keep the bag sealed and stored dry at room temperature, out of direct sunlight. Pro Line is a dry soluble powder, so moisture is the main thing to keep away from it. Once mixed into solution, use the concentrate within a reasonable window rather than storing it long term.
