What size extraction fan does the CLOUDLAB 816 need?
The tent holds roughly 9.4 cubic metres (about 332 cubic feet) of air. As a general rule for grow tents, aim to exchange that full volume every 1-3 minutes, so work out your fan size from that and size up to cover losses through your filter and ducting. The 816 has four 10" ducting ports built in, so it's sized for a proper inline fan rather than something meant for a 4x4.
Can I still use a smaller 4" or 6" AC Infinity fan with this tent?
Yes. Alongside the four 10" ports, the 816 also has six 4" ports and two 8" ports, so a smaller fan can still be used for supplemental intake or a secondary exhaust even though the main ducting is sized for a 10" fan.
How many grow lights can I hang in the CLOUDLAB 816?
The frame is rated to 113kg (250lbs) at each intersecting beam point, and the tent includes 8 hanging bars (4 standard plus 4 extra). Most full-spectrum LED fixtures in the 600-1000W range weigh well under that per-point limit, so two or three lights across the 10ft run is realistic without loading the frame anywhere near its limit.
What's the difference between the CLOUDLAB 816 and the CLOUDLAB 894?
The 894 is 8ft x 4ft (32 sq ft, 244 x 122 x 203cm) with up to 8" ducting ports. The 816 is 10ft x 5ft (50 sq ft, 305 x 152 x 203cm) with four 10" ports alongside the smaller ones. Both share the same 22mm steel frame, 2000D Oxford canvas and 250lb beam capacity - the 816 is simply the bigger room with ducting to match.
Does the CLOUDLAB 816 come with a floor tray and tool storage?
Yes. It includes a removable heavy-duty catch tray to protect the floor from spills and runoff, plus a detachable tool bag for keeping pH pens, clips and other accessories in the tent rather than on the floor outside it.
How thick are the poles and how much weight can the frame take?
The frame uses 22mm steel poles, thicker than the 16-18mm poles on standard hobby tents, with reinforced corners for extra rigidity. Beam capacity is up to 113kg (250lbs) at each point where poles intersect, enough to carry lighting, filters and fans without the roof sagging.
