Frequently Asked Questions

What's the difference between this and the 16mm to 6mm tee?

Same job, different pipe. This one reduces to 9mm, which is the pipe used with the AQUAvalve5. The 16mm to 6mm tee is for the original AQUAvalve and the older black 6mm pipe.

When do I need 16mm pipe and these tees?

On larger AutoPot systems. AutoPot suggest running a 16mm main line from the reservoir, with 9mm branches to the modules, once you get to around eight or more standard pots or six or more XL pots.

How do I fit it?

Cut the 16mm pipe where you want the branch, push both cut ends onto the tee, then push your 9mm pipe onto the reduced outlet. It's a push-on fit that gives a watertight seal, so no clips are needed.

Is it an official AutoPot part?

Yes. It's AutoPot's own 16mm-9mm tee (code PF949/T), made in the UK from recycled plastic.

Description

The AutoPot 16mm to 9mm Tee Connector lets you branch 9mm pipe off a 16mm main line. It's the fitting you need on bigger AutoPot setups, where 16mm pipe runs from the tank and 9mm pipe feeds each module.

Push the pipe on and it grips. It gives a watertight connection, which plenty of cheaper reducers don't, and it's made in the UK by AutoPot from recycled plastic.

How it's used

On a large system the 16mm pipe comes off the reservoir and runs along your rows. Cut the 16mm pipe where you want a branch, push this tee in, then run 9mm pipe from it to your modules. AutoPot suggest going this route on systems with eight or more standard pots or six or more XL pots.
