Description

Sold as complete sets — one price, all the plates your unit takes

Pick your AirOzone size and you get every plate that unit needs, not a single plate. Choose the 12" and you receive all 5 plates. Choose the 14" and you receive all 8. Nothing else to add to your basket.

The corona discharge element (ozone plate) is the working part of a G.A.S. AirOzone in-duct ozone generator. It is a consumable: over time the plate's output falls away and odour control drops off with it. Swapping the plates brings the unit back to full ozone production at a fraction of the cost of a new generator.

What is in each set

Every AirOzone size carries a different number of plates. Match the option to your generator and the set arrives complete — you do not need to order multiples.

Choose this option Duct Plates you receive Fits units rated
6" 150mm 1 plate — full set 600 m³/h
8" 200mm 2 plates — full set 1,200 m³/h
10" 250mm 3 plates — full set 1,800 m³/h
12" 315mm 5 plates — full set 3,000 m³/h
14" 355mm 8 plates — full set 4,800 m³/h

In short: the price shown is for the whole set. Buying one 12" option gives you the complete 5-plate replacement for one 12" AirOzone.

When should the plates be replaced?

Global Air Supplies do not publish a fixed replacement interval — their guidance is that when the plates are no longer running at full potential, they can be swapped out or the unit serviced. In practice, replacement is driven by how hard the unit works:

  • Heavy use (running most of the day, every day through a grow): expect to be looking at the plates within roughly 6–12 months.
  • Light or occasional use: plates commonly last a few years.
  • High humidity shortens plate life. The AirOzone produces ozone up to around 80% RH, but sustained high humidity both reduces output and wears the plates faster.

The tell-tale sign

If odour is creeping back into your exhaust and the sharp, clean ozone smell has faded, the plates are past their best. Inspect them every 3–6 months and clean off any dust or residue — a dirty plate underperforms long before a worn one does.

Before you order

  • Isolate the generator from the mains before opening it.
  • Match the option to the size of the generator itself, not your ducting run.
  • You only need to order one option per generator — the set covers the whole unit.
  • If you are unsure which set you need, get in touch with the exact model of your AirOzone and we will confirm it.

Frequently asked questions

If I buy the 12" option, how many plates do I get?

Five. Every option on this page is a complete set for that unit size, so the 12" gives you all 5 plates for one 12" AirOzone at the price shown. You do not need to order five separately.

Can I buy a single plate on its own?

These are supplied as sets matched to each generator size. The 6" set happens to be a single plate because that is what a 6" unit takes. If you need an odd single plate for a larger unit, contact us and we will sort it.

Why replace the whole set rather than one plate?

Plates in the same unit have done identical running hours, so they wear together. Replacing them as a set keeps ozone output even across the unit and saves you opening it up again a month later.

How do I know the plates need replacing rather than cleaning?

Clean them first. If output does not recover after removing dust and residue, the plates are worn and need replacing.

Can I fit them myself?

Yes. Isolate the unit from the mains, open the housing and swap the plates. If you would rather not, Global Air Supplies also offer a servicing route for AirOzone units.
