FloraFlex is a trusted name in hydroponics equipment. Beyond lights, quickfills, and incubators, their biggest claim to fame is irrigation. Growers usually choose between two systems: the classic Bubbler system or the increasingly popular Micro Drippers. Both deliver water and nutrients directly to your plants, but they’re designed for different strategies and styles of growing.Overview of FloraFlex Irrigation
The FloraFlex Bubbler system is their flagship design. It’s an open-flow system built to simulate hand watering without the labour—ideal for higher-volume, lower-frequency irrigation. Because of the larger flow rates, growers can run organics and thicker nutrient solutions without clogging issues. The heart of the system is the 8-outlet manifold, connected with 3/4" hard piping and green drip lines. At the plant level, you can choose how to feed:
FloraFlex Micro Drippers use a low-volume, high-frequency irrigation strategy. They deliver water directly into the medium and stop instantly when the pump shuts off—making them perfect for crop steering and precision feeding schedules. However, they’re not recommended for organic nutrients, as thicker solutions can clog the small emitters. Micro drippers are also easier to set up. Cut the flexible tubing with scissors, connect using screw joints, punch a hole, insert the dripper—and you’re done. Compare that with bubblers, which need hard pipe cut to size, glued joints, and equal-length drip lines.
If you want precision control and easy setup, go with FloraFlex Micro Drippers. They’re more accurate, better for crop steering, and much simpler to assemble. If you prefer high flow rates, quick saturation, and organic compatibility, then FloraFlex Bubblers are a solid choice. They may take more effort to install, but they’re robust and flexible for bigger feeds. Whichever system you choose, The Hydro Bros stock the full range of FloraFlex irrigation gear. Got questions?
