How do I know if my AutoPot runs on 6mm or 9mm?
Look at the pipe. The original 6mm pipe is black. The 9mm pipe that came in with the AQUAvalve5 in August 2020 is blue with metre markings. If your system was bought before then and has black pipe, you want the 6mm parts.
Can I mix 6mm and 9mm parts on one system?
Yes, with the 9mm to 6mm reducing connector, which is on our 9mm fittings page. A lot of growers add new AQUAvalve5 modules to an older 6mm setup that way.
What does the golf filter do?
It goes on the end of the pipe inside your tank and catches bits of debris before they reach the valves. A blocked valve is the most common reason a pot stops filling, so it's worth fitting one.
Which 6mm grommet do I need?
The standard 6mm top hat grommet is for drilling your own hole in a tank. The grommet for grommeted trays fits the newer AutoPot trays that come with a 12.5mm hole already in them.
