Description
Root Control Discs (RCDs) are designed to fit the 1Pot system, the easy2grow Kit, and the 2Pot extension trays. Black and gold in colour, they sit in the tray underneath the pot, gold face up, and prevent roots from leaving the pot and heading towards the AQUAvalve — the special metallic gold coating makes them very effective.
Roots can find their way through surprisingly tough barriers, so it's worth occasionally lifting the pot to check none have escaped — simply snip away any strays with scissors, which won't harm the plant.
The discs will last several seasons, but we'd recommend replacing them at the start of each new season to avoid transferring any disease. Sold in packs of 8.
