Description

Supercharge your plant's structural backbone and stress defence with CANNA Silica. This premium addition to the CANNA line-up features an advanced 2-in-1 formula combining colloidal and nano silicon particles. By bridging these two distinct molecular sizes, CANNA delivers maximum bioavailability — ensuring your plants absorb and integrate this vital element faster and more efficiently than standard potassium silicates.

Once absorbed, silicon deposits directly into plant cell walls, creating a literal coat of armour. This drastically reinforces structural integrity, leading to thick, rigid stems that can easily hold heavy fruits without bending. CANNA Silica also dramatically increases your canopy's natural resilience against harsh environmental challenges like high temperatures, drought stress, and erratic nutrient fluctuations.

Key Benefits

Benefit What It Means For Your Grow
⚡ Maximum Bioavailability Nano & colloidal particles are absorbed faster than standard potassium silicates across all growing media
🏗️ Reinforced Structure Strengthens cell walls for sturdier branches, rigid stems and thicker leaves that hold heavy fruits
🛡️ Abiotic Stress Shield Dramatically boosts tolerance to extreme heat, drought, cold spells and nutrient fluctuations
🌱 Dual Nutrient Boost Provides supplementary silicon AND potassium (K) to support vigorous development
💧 Optimised Sap Flow Keeps internal transport pathways healthy for smooth water and nutrient distribution under stress

⚠️ Important: Mix in the Correct Order

Silicon is highly alkaline and can cause nutrient lockout if mixed incorrectly. Always follow CANNA's exact sequential order when preparing your reservoir — see the steps below.

How to Use CANNA Silica

  1. Fill & Shake: Fill your primary water tank completely. Shake the CANNA Silica bottle vigorously before use.
  2. Dose: Add 1–2ml of CANNA Silica per 1 litre of water (10–20ml per 10 litres). Note: this will increase your base EC by 0.25–0.5 mS/cm.
  3. Pre-Adjust pH: Stir thoroughly, then adjust the reservoir pH to approximately 7.0. This creates the ideal chemical environment before introducing other nutrients.
  4. Add Base Feeds: Add your regular base nutrients (such as Canna Aqua Vega or Canna Coco) and regular additives according to their labels.
  5. Final pH Check: Adjust down to your desired target root zone value — 5.2–6.2 for hydro/coco.

Compatible with all growing media including coco, hydroponics and soil. Available in 1 litre.

❓ Frequently Asked Questions
Can I use CANNA Silica alongside CANNA PK 13/14? ▾
No. CANNA explicitly advises against using CANNA Silica at the same time as additional PK additives. Because CANNA Silica naturally contains potassium, combining it with an intense blooming booster like PK 13/14 can cause an overdose of potassium, leading to severe element lockouts and leaf burn.
What makes nano and colloidal silicon better than standard silicon? ▾
Standard liquid silicon additives are made from potassium silicate, which relies on large molecules that take time for the plant to break down and absorb. CANNA's 2-in-1 formula uses microscopic nano and colloidal particles that remain perfectly suspended in water and slide into root pathways for immediate uptake.
Can I use this to fix a plant already wilting from heat? ▾
Yes. While best used as a preventative from early growth, adding CANNA Silica during a heat wave will rapidly help the plant regulate transpiration (water loss through leaves), allowing it to stay turgid and recover much quicker from environmental shock.
