Bars are sold individually and come in two flavours, the 80R and the 90R. Each 200w bar has a 2x4ft footprint, comes with a fixing bracket and is controllable via the Luxx NX-1 Lighting Controller.
80R 200w Bar
A white + red spectrum optimized for plant growth with the maximum amount of red content, while also providing a reasonable work environment and good colour quality for plant inspection by the growers. The R80 spectrum has high photosynthetic photon efficacy – 3 µmol/J – and enables rapid, high-quality growth.
The 80R spectrum provides a full spectrum with maximum red photon content. The red content is efficiently generated by state of the art LEDs and is the most effective portion of the spectrum for plant growth and yield. The blue-green balance supports healthy plant morphology and enables an improved working environment and improved visual inspection for growers. This spectrum has been tested extensively for full scale indoor plant production and has consistently resulted in the fastest growth of healthy, high-yield plants.
90R 200w Bar
The R90 spectrum is designed for stacked/tiered grows; a high efficiency, blue-red spectral combination specifically designed for stacked grow architectures. In the vegetative growth phase, the 90R spectrum achieves healthy, fast-growing plants with shorter stature perfect for stacked growth and for keeping certain genetics that traditionally stretch at a lower height.
These 200W LED Bars will release with two spectrums specifically designed for the vegetative growth phase. Luxx have seen that 2 bars (400w) can be used in place of a 1000W metal halide while achieving higher PPFD and uniformity and improved vegetative growth.
This saves 600W per fixture while increasing PPFD at the same time. This resulted in reduced load on the HVAC equipment and easier control of the humidity levels. With the reduced radiant heat coming off the light there was less total heat on the substrate, so it dried out slower. This means that the plants needed fewer watering's but did need to be fed at a higher total EC since the plants were taking on less water and the PPFD was higher.
The 200W LED Bar demonstrates our basic LED lighting philosophy - improve growth with higher, more uniform PPFD and optimized spectra while decreasing wattage. This is a win-win for growers. Stay tuned for an upcoming launch date.
